App or wall switch control
Control the window from anywhere with our handy app or with the wall switch that you can mount in a convenient place.
A simple wall switch with basic operation is included in every purchase of an electrical product.
You can even automate the window to open at specifc times so that you can wake up to fresh clean air every morning by upgrading with VELUX App Control.
The window size determines the feeling of space in your room.
SizeWhy does VELUX recommend 20% glazing to floor area?
Our rule of thumbs is therefore to have from 15% to 25% in order to reach good to very good daylight in your room. The simplified calculation of this ratio proposed on this website takes into account the full window size, including the frame, therefore our recommendation increase by 5%, to compensate for the frame area, ending up to 20%.
When should you consider more than 20%? If you know the window will be subject to shadow and obstruction, consider to stay on 25%-30% window to floor ratio.
If in doubt, ask for VELUX Advisory Service for a daylight analysis of your room.
