Your use of the VELUX Virtual Advisor

Before you get started with the VELUX Virtual Advisor, we would like to give you some information regarding the use of the VELUX Virtual Advisor.

The VELUX Virtual Advisor is an offer by VELUX Danmark A/S (...) (hereinafter: “VELUX”, “we”) and is offered to you as a user.
The VELUX Virtual Advisor is an AI-based chatbot designed to help you with the first steps in your new roof window project by VELUX. The VELUX Virtual Advisor is able to provide you instant, personalized design recommendations and tailored solutions.
Therefore, the VELUX Virtual Advisor collects certain information from you by asking you questions. Your answers and other information that you enter into the VELUX Virtual Advisor are automatically forwarded to VELUX by the system. A VELUX employee from the VELUX Advisory Service will then contact you and continue to take care of your project.
With regard to the use of AI, we would like to assure you that we have taken all necessary measures to adequately protect your data and information. We have also carefully selected the service providers involved and will align with all prevailing legal requirements.
If you provide VELUX with photos by using the VELUX Virtual Advisor, you, as the user grant VELUX the non-exclusive, royalty-free, temporally and geographically unrestricted right to make comprehensive use of the photos. The granting of rights includes, in particular, the right of reproduction and distribution, as well as the right of making publicly available, the right to edit and otherwise modify and the right of advertising. VELUX is also entitled to use the photos and any visualizations created from you for these purposes in edited form, in part or in conjunction with other works, whether protected by copyright or not. You guarantee that you are able to dispose of all rights of use under copyright law and that you has obtained the necessary consent under personal rights law from any persons depicted. You warrant that the photos do not infringe any rights of third parties and do not violate any statutory or official regulations. You also warrant that the material does not convey any content that glorifies violence, is pornographic, racist and/or otherwise seriously disparages personal rights.
You will indemnify VELUX against all third-party claims asserted against VELUX due to unauthorized use of the material; this includes, in particular, the costs of any necessary legal defense. You will notify VELUX without undue delay of any impairments of the contractual rights of which he becomes aware. You also waive the right to claim authorship of the visualizations.
If you use the upload function and provide your own photos and/or floor plans, etc. within the VELUX Virtual Advisor, these will not be processed by the AI implemented in the VELUX Virtual Advisor. Any information and data that you enter into the VELUX Virtual Advisor will not be used for training purposes.
If you enter information into the VELUX Virtual Advisor that is considered personal data within the meaning of the GDPR, we will process that personal data only in accordance with legal requirements.
